HERITAGE HALL
The Full Story
The K of P Lodge Hall (Heritage Hall) located at 118 E. Washington Street, New Madison, Ohio is an example of early twentieth century Classical Revival architecture. This historic two-story brick building was nominated to the NRHP on August 31, 2018, having been associated with events making a significant contribution serving the local rural community.
Originally constructed in 1904-1906 for the Fort Black Lodge #546 K of P to hold meetings and host social functions. On April 11, 1936 the Masonic Temple purchased the 42’ x 80’ building for the sum of $1.00. The Masons and Eastern Star continued using this prominent and distinctive structure for their monthly meetings and also provided many social and dinner events for the community.
On December 16, 2016 Whitestone Development, Inc. acquired this building, continuing the earlier uses of the previous owners. The new name of this historic building is Heritage Hall. It is currently used by a local church and is a venue site for a variety of uses by Darke County with available options for storage rental, event use, and gatherings. THE BASEMENT IS 1,740 SQUARE FEET WHICH CAN BE RENTED AT $350/ MONTH, OR $0.20/ SF- AN ABSOLUTE STEAL!  IT HAS AN OFFICE, GOOD LIGHTING, WATER, GENERAL STORAGE/SAFE/DRY, WITH A HIGH CEILING. TWO ACCESS DOORS. FURNACE AND WATER HEATER ALSO. THIS SPACE IS ZONED FOR STORAGE ONLY SO WE CAN ONLY RENT FOR STORAGE USE. FIRST FLOOR EVENTS/GATHERINGS
THIS LARGE SPACE (PICTURES SEEN ON HOME PAGE) IS FOR PARTIES, GATHERINGS, EVENTS, ETC. THE ITHACA OPEN BIBLE CHURCH USES THE 1ST FLOOR THE FIRST AND THIRD SATURDAY NIGHT FOR 2 HOURS OF SERVICE. THEY LOVE HERITAGE HALL! THERE IS A STAGE IN FRONT OF BUILT-IN SEATING AND A NICE, CLEAN KITCHEN FOR YOUR USE. RECENTLY ADDED, IS AN 8' X 8' WHITE MOVIE SCREEN ON STAGE FOR USE. PLEASE INQUIRE WITHIN FOR YOUR FUTURE EVENTS!
